Dark at four in the afternoon, two hundred candles, and a barn that smelled of woodsmoke.
A December wedding hands you four hours of usable daylight and then asks what you are going to do about it. We photographed the ceremony at noon and let the rest of it go warm and dark.

Candles are a gift and a trap: beautiful, and about four stops short of what a camera wants.
Working in the dark
Two hundred candles read as warm to a room and as noise to a sensor, so the evening was shot wide open and left where it fell. Nothing here was lit by me.
