The dress, a study
A morning in the studio with one gown, one window and a great deal of patience.
An atelier asked for photographs of a single dress that would not date within a season. We shot it against a bare wall with north light and nothing else.
One window
Fabric is a light problem before it is a fashion problem. Everything here is a single source, moved a few centimetres between frames.

Detail, then distance
Every seam was photographed close before the dress was photographed whole. You learn what the gown is made of before you see what it does.
What the atelier got
A set that will still look current in three seasons, and not one frame where the dress is doing anything but being itself. The wall stayed bare for all of them.
Six frames were kept from a hundred and forty.
